If there is one message which I hope this episode has managed to convey, it’s empathy and compassion. Lucky are those with an understanding boss and caring colleagues, and spouses who share the responsibility of parenting. Ok Da Jung’s unhappy childhood is finally revealed as the cause of the strain in her relationship with her mum. I hope she is now able to let go of the bitterness and be more at peace with herself.
Ok Da Jung is shocked to discover that her mum had colon cancer and due to the seriousness of her current condition, her mum would require an immediate operation.
Ok Da Jung’s mum is upset that she does not seem concerned about her illness
Though Nam Jeong Gi might not know what had caused the strain in the relationship between Ok Da Jung and her mum, he feels that she should put that aside for the moment as the priority is her mum’s condition.
She does not think that her personal issues are his concerns and since their relationship is strictly professional, he should not cross the line.
The Lovely team testing out their new product. A bit strange to see Nam Jeong Gi testing lipstick on his lips instead of his hand. Could it be Sang Hyun’s idea of a joke?
Ok Da Jung is displeased that Han Young Mi is late for work again. Though Nam Jeong Gi tries to explain on the latter’s behalf, she does not find it acceptable.
I feel bad for Han Young Mi but I do think she should have spoken to Ok Da Jung about her problem instead of assuming that it’s pointless to tell her. No matter at what level an employee might be, they would need to take urgent leave should the need arise.
Another scene which made me teared up ….. conflict with the husband over the caring of their child.
Ok Da Jung rushes to the train station on hearing that her mum had left with her bags. It is only then that she finds out what had really happened in the past and the reason for what she had perceived as her mum’s neglect of her during childhood.
