It’s no wonder that Sang Hyun was tired out filming this episode as it’s emotionally charged. With a quarter of the drama remaining, it feels kind of sad that we have only 2 more weekends to look forward to. I’m still waiting for something to develop between Nam Jeong Gi and Ok Da Jung but so far there is no indication except for Woo Ju’s wish.
With the company restructuring in progress and staff under appraisal by the annoying Manager Shin, the Lovely team members are on edge as their future seems uncertain. Since Nam Jeong Gi thinks that Manager Shin is unfair with his ridiculous assessment of the staff, he is assigned to carry out the appraisal instead. That puts him in a dilemma as he does not think he has a right to judge them or has the heart to fire anyone. So rather than having to make that unpleasant choice, he submits himself to be fired instead. But it’s Young Mi who was given the boot.
A personal thought on this subject ….. Nam Jeong Gi being a deputy chief certainly has the authority to carry out an objective appraisal on his subordinates. I think he is too soft hearted and emotional so he would rather endure the suffering rather than cause unhappiness to others. But as Ok Da Jung rightly pointed out, what about his obligation to his family? Is that being selfless?
I had been wondering earlier what Lee Ji Sang’s intention is with his investment in Lovely. But judging from his conversation with Ok Da Jung, he seems weird. Is it simply to prove that no one can resist the temptation of money? Perhaps he’s so filthy rich that money is of no concern to him and as long as he’s right about human greed, it did not matter that people get hurt or their lives are ruined. Yes, he’s certainly weird.
Lee Ji Sang is gradually taking control of managing Lovely. First it’s restructuring, now it’s getting onto the management board as Head Director and CEO.
