Life at Lovely is turned upside down when Lee Ji Sang comes on board to join the company as the new Head Director and CEO. President Jo is oblivious that he’s losing his power when he unwittingly hands over HR authority to the new Director. The next one to be eliminated is his brother-in-law Manager Shin who was found to have embezzled company funds.
It’s certainly clear now what Lee Ji Sang is up to as he gets rid of existing staff at Lovely and brings in his own. As he takes over authority from the clueless President Jo, Lovely would be at risk of being absorbed by Gold Chemicals. So that was really what that devious Director Kim and Lee Ji Sang had in mind all along. Too bad President Jo is too trusting and taken in by their lure of investment. Is it too late to save Lovely?
The staff at Lovely are taken by surprise that they have a new Head Director.
They were equally taken aback that Yang Joo Ho has been appointed their new Vice Chief while Manager Shin is dismissed for having embezzled company funds.
Cutie Woo Ju wants to live with the ahjuma from next door and seeks dad’s permission to marry her.
Uncle Bong Gi has a hard time trying to explain the complexities of marriage to a 9 year old.
Being told that he would have to wait another 20 years until he’s an adult and when ahjuma would be around his grandpa’s age certainly dashed his hopes. Poor Woo Ju, what he really needs is a mum to take care of him.
CEO Lee fails to impress Ok Da Jung with his attempt to win the staff over as she knows his real intention.
He poses a question to Nam Jeong Gi as he’s confident that money is the source of happiness for everyone.
Nam Jeong Gi’s unexpected answer must have disappointed and surprised him.
For Nam Jeong Gi, money isn’t everything. Happiness is being able to take pride in one’s work and accomplishment, receiving recognition and having confidence to face challenges.
I had a good laugh at this scene of Nam Jeong Gi dying to ask poker face Ok Da Jung the many questions running through his mind as his eyes dart back and forth. Sang Hyun is certainly good acting with his eyes.
Who could have sent that bouquet to Ok Da Jung? CEO Lee or her former husbands?
He tells himself he doesn’t care and yet he’s disturbed by the thought.
Another funny scene for me is the exchange of pouts between Woo Ju and Ok Da Jung as he’s still upset with his failed ‘proposal’. As they enter the lift, he moves over to a corner rather than stand beside her. That was rather adorable.
Nam Jeong Gi finds out about how Lee Ji Sang had destroyed another company in which he had invested and which had resulted in its CEO committing suicide. His suspicion of Lee Ji Sang being Ok Da Jung’s former husband is also proven right.
Vice Chief Yang doesn’t seem to be doing any work besides throwing his weight around and gossiping.
Nam Jeong Gi tells him off for spreading rumors about Ok Da Jung.
President Jo finally finds out the truth about CEO Lee and shocked by his discovery that he’s Ok Da Jung’s former husband, he loses it and accuses her of being in cahoots with CEO Lee to steal his company.
Having had enough of his bad judgement and management, Ok Da Jung quits.
